What is STEGLATRO?

STEGLATRO is a prescription pill used in adults with type 2 diabetes to improve blood sugar (glucose) control along with diet and exercise. STEGLATRO is not for people with type 1 diabetes. It may increase the risk of diabetic ketoacidosis in these people.

 

 
 

How to Take STEGLATRO

In addition to eating right and exercising, follow these recommendations when taking STEGLATRO

STEGLATRO® (ertugliflozin) Should Only Be Taken as Directed by Your Doctor

Take STEGLATRO as prescribed

Take STEGLATRO as directed by your doctor for your type 2 diabetes. If you have questions, contact your doctor.

STEGLATRO® (ertugliflozin) Should Be Taken at the Same Time Every Day

Take STEGLATRO one time a day

Pick a time in the morning and take STEGLATRO at that same time every day.

STEGLATRO® (ertugliflozin) May Be Taken With or Without Food

Take STEGLATRO with or without food

You donʼt have to schedule your meals around STEGLATRO.

  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember
  • If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at the next regularly scheduled time
  • Do not take 2 doses of STEGLATRO at the same time

Eligible, privately insured patients may pay as little as $0 per prescription on each of up to 12 qualifying prescriptions. Maximum savings is $583 per prescription.

Do not take STEGLATRO if you:

  • are allergic to ertugliflozin or any of the ingredients in STEGLATRO. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction to STEGLATRO may include skin rash, raised red patches on your skin (hives), and swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and throat that may cause difficulty in breathing or swallowing. If you have any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, stop taking STEGLATRO and call your doctor right away.
  • are on dialysis.
